Formulation Tips

Add to the oil phase and heat to 70–75°C alongside other wax-phase ingredients — it melts readily and incorporates smoothly. In lip balms and ointments, it contributes both emolliency and structural body without the stickiness of pure lanolin. In creams and lotions, it works well alongside Cetearyl Alcohol and emulsifiers to build a rich, stable emulsion with excellent skin feel. Note: Lanolin Alcohol is derived from animal sources — not suitable for vegan formulations. Individuals with known lanolin sensitivity should perform patch testing.
